Welcome Yule

I just got home from Welcome Yule, which nobody else here has heard of, but anyway, it's the local midwinter celebration of songs, music, dance and story "to drive the dark away". The cast is almost entirely people i know from the morris dance community, and i went with a bunch of ladies from my garland team. We also tagged along to the after party where there was more singing, and conversation, and i am about 85% sure i am going again tomorrow night. I have john kirkpatrick's chariots of cherubim chanting, and seraphim singing hosannas, all the angels are trumpeting glory, for my earworm. I don't get out to pub sings enough these days. Something about singing nourishes me in a way nothing else does.
